The Precious

You'll never guess what showed up on my doorstep tonight?

The PRECIOUS!

Lyle's ring returned!

A little worse for wear, but a collegue from work brought it back. The day Lyle lost Precious it was freezing rain outside and the drive at work was sheer ice. He took one step out of the truck and went flying. After the first panic phone call he told me he fell and thought maybe he had lost the precious at work. At the time, the seeping gape wound on his hand was apparently more important than the ring at the time; his first instinct was the ring was still at work. Apparently, the Oracle (aka Lyle) was right. Then he started to second guess himself.

I spoke to my weeping yogi and Saint Anthony (I'm not Catholic, but I speak to St. Anthony all the time, infact I call him Tony; yes, we are on a first name basis!) I yelled into the air tonight huge thank you's to both of them. Lyle said, I should thank the woman who returned it to us. I did that, but also felt the need to thank the Secret for returning the ring as this was my intention!

I said tonight that I should take his ring into the jeweler to get it cleaned and buffed. You should see how beat up it is....looks like it had a nasty battle with the snow plow! Lyle's response...
"No, you can't have it.....It's Mine! No It's mine!"

I don't know if I'll ever get it away from him again.
Schmegle - hahahaaa after all he now is the Lord of the Ring!

Happy Cleaning

I live in the space of thankfulness - and I have been rewarded a
milion times over for it. I started out giving thanks for small
things, and the more thankful I became, the more my bounty increased.
That's because what you focus on expands, and when you focus on the
goodness in your life, you create more of it. Opportunities,
relationships, even money flowed my way when I learned to be grateful
no matter what happened in my life.
"Say thank you!"

Now if I could only figure out how to get someone else to put all of these Christmas decorations away! Enjoy your Wednesday

My Christmas Wish for you

Expect many miracles, happiness, peace and laughter this holiday season and it will be! We only have a few short days left to prepare for the festive events. As you are working toward being ready for the day, remember these days are not about gifting; it is about feeling. Give yourself permission to feel each and every moment. Permission to embrace your loved ones and family -giving and receiving love to those you share your life with will bring many festive moments.

Let's start today with ordinary miracles!

Home for the Holidays

I just returned from my Christmas visit with friends in Peterborough. It seems odd to me to have known this group of women for over 15 years already. It feels like yesterday when I called Peterborough & Trent University my home; which in actual fact was 11 + years ago now. Although I've been gone since the mid-ninties I still consider this area of Ontario home.
It was so interesting to see the lines on the faces a little deeper; a gentle reminder of the life we have lived thus far - filled with such an interesting ebb and flow. I can't believe how much different the downtown core is! It brought with it knowledge not only people, but cities do not remain static. The main streets downtown are now filled with lovely little boutiques that one would enjoy shopping in and small pubs and bistro's create such livelihood in their downtown core. The phrase, "It's worth the drive" (like another area I lived in for a time) seems to fit! Althought the city has evolved, the love of the Kawartha's and folk from the Patch remains. It definitely felt good to be home for the holidays.

Who is coming?

I thought I'd share a picture of my nephews this morning. Aren't they adorable? I took this in colour and changed it to b/w; there is something about a black and white picture that reverberates for me....although, I'm not sure what it is?
I love this shot; makes me think they are whispering about Santa.

Only 10 more shopping days to go folks!

Told you so

Ok, so I have proof today that healing is not always an easy feat. Here's an example...today someone in my experience was steering from the truth. Obviously it bothered me, otherwize I wouldn't be blogging about it tonight. I hestitate to even give this any more energy, although it seems to fit into the previous post so, here it goes....

Why do people feel the need to be evasive about the truth?

If it is to not hurt someones feelings, then (even though I may disagree) I get it. However, when the lie is based on an obviously manipulation I really do not understand it. Is it just because I do not manipulate? Or maybe, its because I do not lie? I don't know.

What I do know is this ....
*this individual has definite issues!
*I will not focus on this which brings me down - as I am knowledgeable enough to know I do not wish more of the same.
*I am truthful 99% of the time

Regardless, I am releasing this and cancelling out any further lessons on manipulation and lies. I am surrounded by truth! Do you hear that universe? TRUTH! (you really must be soooo careful!)

On a much more positive note, someone told me today, they thought I am only 28 years old! How great is that??? LOL

Healing Journeys

I received an email yesterday from one of my distance clients. One of the things he said to me was very curious, "I wish healing was as easy as you make it out to be."

Whoa! Is this the impression I left him with? As you well know sometimes the written word does not translate as well as a face-to-face conversation. Maybe I didn't get through to him clearly.

We can take two points of view on this; one from personal experience and the other from knowing that our thoughts create our reality.

From personal experience, my healing journey has been far from easy. To quote Jerry Seinfeld,

"Life is truly a ride. We're all strapped in, and no one can stop it. As you make each passage from youth to adulthood to maturity, sometimes you put your arms up and scream, sometimes you just hang on to that bar in front of you. But the ride is the thing. I think the most you can hope for at the end of life is that your hair's messed, you're out of breath, and you didn't throw up."

As it was explained to me when I was dealing with depression and some serious layers of healing, "If you want to find peace, happiness and harmony, you have to do the work." The transformation has been painful as I'd imagine the shift from a catepillar to a butterfly might me. Although, I'm not sure anyone has ever asked the butterfly?

The second view point we could use is Abraham thinking. If we focus on how hard and challenging healing is, then it will most certainly continue to be. I really must apologize to this individual for leaving the impression that healing is as simple as waving a magic wand. But then again, if we allow our thinking to change, maybe it is?

Green Christmas

I mentioned to my sister-in-law the weather report I heard on the radio as I was driving to work. It is to be in the pluses all week long! The weatherman said we will even have one day of +9 ! My Sister-in-law was very unimpressed;

"Don't tell me you are doing it again?"

"Hmm....???" I admit it wonder set in?

"Wishing for a green Christmas!"

Oh yes, I totally forgot.

Yes, yes, yes I am!

I'm dreaming of a green Christmas,
Just like the one's I've rarely known.
Where we are able to see grass instead of snow,
and children listen to santa coming on the radio.....

I'm dreaming of a green Christmas
With every Yuletide card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be green

Catchy little tune, maybe it will catch on?

Attached to Bling

My husband Lyle called me in a panic this morning. He lost his wedding ring. Poor little guy is loosing his mind because he doesn't know where it went (I call him little because I am 6'1 and he is only 5'9 trying to be 6'1"...to me he is little; actually almost everyone is! LOL).
The ring hasn't seen water since it went on his finger; always takes it off before showering or doing dishes. Now it isn't that out of the ordinary for things to go missing in this 100+ year old house. Several things have disappeared from the kitchen table; sometimes they return, other times they never do. I told him to speak to Tony (St. Anthony..patron saint of lost items - yep, we ARE on a first name basis! Tony helps me all the time) But so far, Tony hasn't helped.

I'm hoping it will show up - Lyle looked ill when he got home from work. I know one or both of us created this. I've personally thought many times, "You shouldn't leave that ring there, you're going to loose it."

I explained to him tonight though, he should never be attached or worry about anything that can be fixed or replaced by money. The vows come from within the heart and not from something that hugs the finger.

Ford tough

I still do not have my winter tires on my car yet. This morning as I drove into the Y, my traction control gripped the road. Along the way, I was thinking, "Traction control, wouldn't it be nice if we had a traction control button for life?"

Then it hit me....we do!

The traction control button is the breathe!

How many times has someone said, “Just slow down. Take a deep breath…” Whoever said this was not far off the mark. Research shows that the mind follows our breathing patterns. If we remember this internal tool our minds and bodies can relax, remain calm and centred. When you consider that the average person takes 23,000 breaths each day, you can see the important of the quality of the breath. According to yogic philosophy, we are meant to live a full 120 years; meaning the total number of breaths in one lifetime should be approximately 946,080,000. That's a whole lot of traction isn't it?

So that's it! Use your personal traction control button...stop and breathe..then reap the blessings.

Explanation

Yahoo! I finally got the newsletters in the mail today; the universe opened up a large space in my schedule (or rather I did via Law of Attraction) to get it complete. I kept putting out there the desire for time & that is what I received today.

Speaking of the Law of Attraction, many people have recently mentioned the lack of Abraham-Hicks, Jerry and Ester Hicks from the film The Secret (www.thesecret.tv). While surfing today I checked into Joe Vitalie's blog and wouldn't you know there's a link to an explaination straight from the horses mouth so to speak.

You'll find it here:

Excellent Prosperity Link

Listen to Jim Ziegler speak about prospertiy consciousness. It's a wonderful and inspirational lecture on the prosperity equation!

The Prosperity Equation is a tool which will help you realize the strength & power that you have within you to make life changing decisions that will propel you down the road to success!

Weather and Wonder

It's hard to say what is happening outside today; the weather seems to be mixed up with a mixture of snow and rain. Thankfully there isn't any freezing rain! My husband promises it is all going to melt and is supposed to be nice again. I'm not sure if he's creatively planning this to be truth or if he heard it from the Global News weatherman. Regardless, I for one am looking forward to it! (I know I shouldn't be complaining already as its only just begun.) Today I'm hiding indoors for as long as possible finishing the details to send of my latest newsletter...watch for it before the end of the week for email subscribers and by next week for those who receive it through snail mail!

Remember Linda Adsetts, the owner of the Soul Spa from St. Andrews St? She has just opened her new website. It's simply wonderful! You can visit it at www.empoweringpaths.com Linda is still offering her angel readings and also sharing some amazing information now online. Be sure to visit; I for one am wondering what wonderful things she'll soon share?

Enjoy your day folks, I'm off to cuddle my cat; bet you he's warm!

Laws are in motion

Today, I asked for a raise from one company, only to receive one from another! How odd is that? I still don't know if I got the first one yet, but by law of attraction something clicked in the universe today! Isn't that amazing!

I also wanted to thank those who nominated me for the best teacher award at Exclusively. What a nice gesture and the comments you gave we so nice as well. Here's what some of them were (for those who don't know):

"Extremely knowledgeable & thorough in every move. She is always patient and considerate of everyone's skill and level."

"Very knowledgable, works well with the body."

"Cheerful and encouraging demeanor."

"She is very quiet and has a relaxing manner"

It's wonderful to receive feedback from those who participate in my classes. I'm not sure my husband Lyle would agree that I'm quiet though...wait until he reads that one! LOL

Raise Your Vibration

Isn't it odd how queezy our belly's can get when we ask for a raise? This is one thing most of us have in common. We know our true value. We know how hard we work. Yet when it comes to standing up for our own true self in the larger scheme of things, we all begin to feel like a little child. I guess its because our employers hold the power as once our parents did and we feel as if we have none. But this is simply an illusion. If we stop the maya of believing we are not worthing we can achieve great things. It is believing in ourselves and our abilities that can bring about great change and shifts; not only in our chosen profession, but also in our lives.

When was the last time you asked for what you truly want? In relationships? In business? Within your own body? Or family/tribal areas of your life? In order for us to truly manifest the things we wish to see happen, we must face our inner child. While we nuture self as it is equally important to begin to ask for what we want. Not only through thought, but also through positive and sometimes creative dialogue with those we share our earthwalk with.

Now after you have opened that dialogue, how do you feel. Are there still butterflies in your stomach? Do you still feel nervous or anxious? If so, its time to adjust your thinking. Believe in yourself today! And begin to take the steps in the direction of creating the life you wish to live: think it into being, feel it into being and it will be!

Detach stretch

I've been reading Lilias Folan's book, Yoga gets better with Age this week. http://www.liliasyoga.com/

I highly recommend this book for all levels of fitness and bodily conditions! Lilias gentle style and warm personality has reminded me why I love yoga so much and brought back inspiration and motivation for change; not only in teaching, but also in my personal practice.

One of the portions of the book she speaks about detachment and offers us a challenge to stretch our detach muscle.

Lilias challenges us to go through our house and get rid of or donate 20 things we no longer use or need. Then she says we should go through our closests and get rid of 10 articles of clothing. When you are finished, she asks you to witness how you feel; are you still attached to the things you released? If so, you need to stretch your detach muscle.

I found this challenge interesting as I often release things from my life. Especially clothing. I do not believe in the 'I'll keep it as one day I'll be able to fit back into it" wave of thought. My thinking is, if I do drop weight then I deserve to get a new piece of clothing to celebrate.

I remember my Grandmother have much trouble detaching from items in her life. She used to say, "I can't get rid of that thing as so & so gave it to me." Funny enough so & so probably forgot about the giving eons ago!

Maybe this is why I've a hard time getting rid of certains items in my life; its genetic! But this week I got rid of 20 things; it wasn't as challenging as I would have thought. And actually it felt really good to open the energy to allow something new to enter into my life.

Seems my detach muscle is strong..... this week.
