Spring has definitely Sprung!

What a super fantastic day its been. The weather is glorious. I even found time to move into my outdoor space, opened my pond and put out all the things that haven't seen the sun in months!

I spent a few hours outside with the laptop catching up on some emails and other online details. While doing so I came across an interview by Mark Whitell over at yogamates.com It's a definite must watch!

Among other things he discusses the difference between doing gymastics and yoga; advising us to follow our breath. Connect with the breath as you move into and out of asana. It has provided much food for thought.

PS. I was also by Atlas Studio's site. If you haven't been there for a while you may not know they are offering a free workshop on Easter weekend. Go have a look! http://www.atlasstudio.com

Robins

I don't know if anyone else remembers the columnist Gregory Clarke, but his "first robin of spring" story always comes back to mind at this time of year. Essentially, if the first robin you see is scurrying along the ground, it's going to be a rough year for you. If it's sitting on a fence or in a tree, it's going to be an okay year, and if the first Robin you see is flying - it's going to be a wonderful year.

I think we can choose what kind of year it will be by Law of Attraction, however this is an interesting view. I wonder if we should call it robinology? LOL

Ta Chic

Here's a picture that I promised you in class. It's of my husband and I at the 70's disco party we attended this past weekend. An excellent time was had by all! What a hoot. We should all have to go to one costume party a year. '

Far out baby!

LOL

Beautiful Women Project

A local artist has outdone herself! Her aim is to help teens and other women to see the authenticity of our bodies; she cast women ages 19-91 in busts (collar bones to waist) and painted them. You should see this gal's work! Here's one of the castings she created....

This stuff is phenomenal! I think Dove should pick this up as a sponsor and take this women's art through the roof!

You can also read more about the work here: http://www.websterwood.com/bwp

I went today. It was something else and a wonder-filled reminder we do not have to judge our beauty through a magazine.

Be sure to have a look at the show. It's at the Cambridge Center for the Arts until April 5th

What we can learn from a pencil

1. Everything you do will always leave a Mark.
2. You can always correct the mistake you make.
3. The important thing in life is what you are from inside and not from the outside.
4. In life you will undergo painful sharpening which will make you better in whatever you do.
5. Finally, to be the best you can be, you must allow yourself to be held and guided by the hand that holds you.

It's been a very strange few weeks. I've been offered several opportunites. I gotta tell you its kinda scary, but definitely in a good way. I guess that's what its all about, isn't it? What we need to do to get our hearts pumping and our blood circulating faster. This is almost better than working out! Notice I said almost.

Enjoy this cold day.
