It's Official

I finished Christmas yesterday!  I'm so happy now all of the presents are either made &/or purchased.  I still have a few things to do though - for example I bought the wrong size pants for someone so I have to go and return those, but it will be done today.

I'm not so prepared that anything is wrapped.  I love to leave that part to the last minute.  That way it feels like Christmas.

My husband and I celebrate Yule so it's nice this year as it's on Sunday the 21st.  Then we have two other celebrations one with his family & then mine.  It's always a lot of traveling but so much fun.

I'm looking forward to it.

And today we are putting up our tree!!!!

I know two little fur babies who love tree time!  Then they can pretend they are mean outdoor cats... well, the one anyhow.  The other likes to hide under the skirt!  LOL  She hates it when it's cold.

Have fun!  I'm off to decorate, then paint.

PS.  I was busy this month over on Etsy and have added several planners.  Be sure to buy one for yourself or someone you love!  I'll be adding one or two more over the next few weeks!

PPS. Why buy a planner?  If you don't have a plan you will most certainly get there.... no where that is!  Plan it out, now is the time!

Forewarned is forearmed and all that

Last weekend when the moon was in Cancer it was an emotional roller coaster of a time; not just for me, but for many.   I missed hearing about it from the astrologists that I listen to on a daily/weekly/monthly basis as I was without internet access (there's enough stress in simply that fact, right?  LOL)  I find most of the time these guys have a knowing that if listened to can shift and change our experience.

I heard about the emotional roller coaster weekend after I exited the ride.

If I had known beforehand maybe I would have dealt with things differently or at the very least had been better prepared.  Not that it was all that bad (in fact it was fairly good).  I just found people to be emotional and as an empathy I sucked it all in.

Half the time lately I'm not sure if its me being pre-menopausal or the others, but I know I'm growing and stretching into the mystic from what I'll call the river rocks ride.  (That time when you are tumbled around to smooth out your rough edges....yes it still happens to me and it's far from pleasant experientially.)

So this time I'm ready for it!

Here's the Mantra from Kaypachya & the video I'll post the link below for the weekend.....

"As I speak my truth I must be prepared,
For others to feel, react, and share,
If I can get over feeling threatened and scared,
I will learn the lessons Life has for me there."

As I'm off to a family reunion - this is good information.... and reminder to stay unreactive.

And to pack emergency homeopathics in case I get a case of menopausal erratic emotions showing up ontop of the 'look at me' Leo zaniness.

Here's my mantra for the weekend - when in doubt... drug yourself!  LOL

Play safe & remember to breathe!

Silly Dad

Had the strangest conversation with my Dad last night. He told me he and Mom had just finished doing their year in review and added some new items to their bucket list. Now all he has to do is get his pictures ready.

"What pictures?"
"Of all the things I want for 2011. We've got everything from our last pictures. Now I just need to find a few more then its done."
"You mean you're vision board?"
"Yeah...one of those"

Then he says - well 2011 is not a big enough number.

"Yeah, it only adds up to a 4. We need those numbers to be larger - like an 8!"

Silly Dad....teaching me about numerology! When I told him he could add in the month and the day to get the numbers larger he said, "Oh, thanks for the tip!"

And that must be the zaniest conversation we've had in a decade!

My Christmas Wish for you

Expect many miracles, happiness, peace and laughter this holiday season and it will be! We only have a few short days left to prepare for the festive events. As you are working toward being ready for the day, remember these days are not about gifting; it is about feeling. Give yourself permission to feel each and every moment. Permission to embrace your loved ones and family -giving and receiving love to those you share your life with will bring many festive moments.

Let's start today with ordinary miracles!

Happy Holidays!
