Happy New Year

Good riddance to 2016.  It was not an easy year for many.  We could blame the Monkey, politics, deaths among many other things which brought suffering to so many.

Let’s let go of what is holding us back.  Let’s move into the new year without grievance.
Here’s the thing… sometimes we need to let go, forgive and move forward.  Even if the other will not apologize or honor your opinions.  Let’s not allow their actions to determine our mental health.
“Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.” – Buddha
So let’s let go, move forward and experience a wonderfilled 2017
Wishing you a new year full of infinite possibilities.
May it include…..
laughter
healing
health
wellbeing
harmony
Love

Action Required!

Work with the universal energies this week....old & worn out attitudes, beliefs and situations must be cut away to make way for the new.

These things are no longer serving you.

As we shift into this new paradigm repeat, "I am safe."
...
... and allow your beautiful self to shine through!

PS.  This is intutitively coming through so clearly for me right now.  I just wish it wasn't so loud!  LOL

Acceptance

One of the things I adore about art journaling is the ability to create something wonderful out of emotions that may not feel the best.  All of us have things in our lives we wish we could change; things that aren't to our liking.

The things we wish were different can be a source of fear, struggle and depression.  Or we can utilize the saying, "Help me to accept the things I can not change" (I know, so 12 steps here, right?)  We can poke fun or realize it's essence of truth.

We can keep up the struggle and allow the chaos into our internal world, or we can release it to the larger powers of spirit; trusting things will unfold as they should (which they will anyhow regardless of our involvement).

This was similar to one of my journal entries which helped me shift from the pain of a situation to releasing it to spirit.

Isn't she lovely?  I even found the courage to thank this situation as a blessing:

I have no idea why the bird ended up in there but for some reason it wanted to be.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you too find a way to come to a place of acceptance with something you are struggling with.

Namaste,
Tammy

Letting go & Self love

Sometimes when we let go we have to visualize ourselves releasing whatever is holding us back. This truly is one way to help us develop unconditional self love for ourselves.

Wishing you all the best!
Namaste,
Tammy

PS. Here's the poem I was talking about, Derek Walcott's Love after love:

Love After Love

The time will come when,
with elation you will greet yourself arriving at your own door,
in your own mirror and each will smile at the other's welcome,
and say, sit here. Eat.

You will love again the stranger who was your self.
Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart to itself,
to the stranger who has loved you all your life,
whom you ignored for another,
who knows you by heart.

Take down the love letters from the bookshelf,
the photographs, the desperate notes,
peel your own image from the mirror.
Sit. Feast on your life.
