Planning

Here is a journal page I just started last night - love the beginnings of this Owl.... now I have to decide what medium I'm going to complete it with.

Below is a journal of so many possibilities!  The left hand side of the page is one of my favourite Rainer Maria Rilke quotes from his Letter's to a Young Poet .  I just read the whole thing yesterday and highly recommend it.  I definitely need to re-read it again as there were so many nuggets of wisdom in there.  Here is the quote with more to it....

“Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.” ~Rainer Maria Rilke

And here's one from last week that was fun (and really messy)!   Food and art.... the messier, the better I say!  LOL

The right hand side quote is...
"There is a seed of peace, joy , love and wisdom in each of us." ~Iyanla Vanzant

PS. Joe Vitale posted this on facebook today and it's great - too great not to share, "You don't fear change. You fear the unknown. If you knew the future would be great, you'd welcome the change to get there. Well, the future IS great. Proceed."

(*Art Journal*) flip through January 2014

I did a youtube video with my full journal, much of it you've already seen here, but there may be some of the pages that didn't make it here.

Also you can see what kind of book I used (thanks to my SIL Stacy from MagicLoveCrow it's come in handy... love it!)

I'll be doing a February flip through soon... will wait until Mercury is out of Retrograde to do so
though!

Thanks for stopping in

Paint on!

Day 45 & Jillian Michaels

It's been 45 days today.  I made a commitment to myself to do 45 days of cardio.  The good news is I did it! Woot!!   The negative is I'm no where close to where I want to be - the scale hasn't yet changed, but I will say I have more muscle mass and better cardio health than 45 days ago.

One of the days I was feeling very poorly about myself - pretty negative actually.   We all have these days I'm sure you know what I mean.  Anyhow I did a journal entry about it.  Then I covered over it and here is what came out of it!  I call this entry Learning to love self:

Here's a close up of the right side - it's mixed media... the flames and candles were scraps of paper I had laying around.  I added gesso, paint and marker to it:

And the left side.  I had some pieces of paper out of a catalogue that I thought were really cool so I pasted them onto the page.  It looked like it was missing something so I dug it out of the recycle bin and cut out the crown.

I did feel better afterwards, but I'm still a work in progress... guess we all are!

Thanks for stopping by,
Tam

PS.  Jillian Michael's sucks by-the-way!  It is her workout I've been doing for the past 45 days.  I'm going to stick with it but now I'm allowed one day off a week until I get to a place I'm more happy with.

Here are the workouts I've been doing:
30 Day Shred
Ripped in 30
Banish Fat Boost Metabolism
No More Trouble Zones
