Pink Lemonade

I've been craving pink lemonade.  Is that weird?  I can't even remember the last time I had pink lemonade. I decided to make some.  It was really easy...

water
lemons
cranberry juice
sugar

Who knew it was that easy?

I did add a little too much cran so it was pretty tart & very pink, but we really don't need so much sugar anyhow.  Next time a little less of it will make it a better colour.

I'm so happy - just like Bells...

OMG... isn't she the sweetest?  Sometimes Bella is an absolute doll!  Anyhow the happy is because I teach for 2 more hours and then I'm on holidays until Sept.  Woot!

Have a great one and enjoy some lemonade on me!

Holidays

We just got back from the shores of Lake Huron.  What a wonderful time we had!  It's so funny how many overlook our province in all of its beauty when considering vacation times.

It really is a gorgeous place to live and be here in Ontario.

If you haven't been - you should drive up to the coast along Lake Huron.

We went to Sauble beach, Southhampton, Port Elgin and Kincardine.  All such great places and I hope to be back to see them again along life's path.

On Friday nights there is a Sand Piper who plays until the sun sets in Southhampton - I was sure to take a video of it for you to also enjoy:

Wishing you a fantastic week ahead!

Now is the time

Why not make 2010 your best year yet? I encourage you to do this too!

Write a script of how it would feel if 2010 was your best year yet! Write down all of the details; include all of your senses. Then revisit the pages you wrote often and imagine what it would feel like if it actually came true.

From our family to yours wishing you a happy and safe holiday season & all the best for 2010!

Namaste,
Tammy

PS. Here is something I scripted and it happened!

In loving gratitude

Just a quick post this morning to thank all of those who have and continue to support TLC Services. As my summer holiday's begin, I am so happy and grateful to have the time to recharge my batteries. I look forward to seeing everyone again come the fall.

Until then, enjoy August and the opportunity to explore a personal practice.

While yoga is done often in groups, the main goal is to help you find balance. It is also to allow you to connect mind, body and spirit; this can only be accomplished alone. Take the time to watch your breath, connect with your spirit (through meditation or yoga) and most of all the time out to celebrate your relationship with self.

If you still haven't purchased your copy of How to be Soul Strong, this is the perfect time! The price will be increasing shortly. Grab your copy before the limited offer runs out.

See you in September.
Om Shanti,
TLC

PS. If I get a chance to find a computer while I'm off, I may do a fly by post in the coming weeks. Be sure to check back in.

Shifting Gears

You may have noticed many of the changes that have occurred with reikiandyoga.com over the past few weeks. Today I added even more! Isn't technology wonderful?

I personally consider myself a techno junkie and love the latest and greatest things especially when I can figure out how to do them myself! No, I was never one of those people who could not programme their VCR. And infact, up until we signed on with Digital cable, my husband always came to me to program it for him! LOL

Please enjoy the new mantra page - before you listen to the .wav files know that I am NOT a seasoned chanter or singer...yet, you will get an introduction to mantra just the same.

You can find it hereat www.reikiandyoga.com/mantra.html

Speaking of updates, if there is something you'd like to mention about the website, be it positive or constructive critism please email me at:

I'd love to hear from you!
Enjoy this Wednesday

Home for the Holidays

I just returned from my Christmas visit with friends in Peterborough. It seems odd to me to have known this group of women for over 15 years already. It feels like yesterday when I called Peterborough & Trent University my home; which in actual fact was 11 + years ago now. Although I've been gone since the mid-ninties I still consider this area of Ontario home.
It was so interesting to see the lines on the faces a little deeper; a gentle reminder of the life we have lived thus far - filled with such an interesting ebb and flow. I can't believe how much different the downtown core is! It brought with it knowledge not only people, but cities do not remain static. The main streets downtown are now filled with lovely little boutiques that one would enjoy shopping in and small pubs and bistro's create such livelihood in their downtown core. The phrase, "It's worth the drive" (like another area I lived in for a time) seems to fit! Althought the city has evolved, the love of the Kawartha's and folk from the Patch remains. It definitely felt good to be home for the holidays.
