Releasing old beliefs

This past weekend I finally crushed a belief paradigm.

It may sound silly, but it had to do with cooking. Not just any kind of cooking but specifically cooking Curried Chicken.

The last time (which was also my first time) that I tried the recipe, my grandmother ended up in the hospital with a stomach tumour which eventually took her life.

This fear sat with me and I somehow associated the experience with the food.

Yesterday, I made curried chicken.

And I'll be honest, I was a little nervous.

No one died.

No one got sick either.

It felt good to clear that old belief.

On Worrying

I just had another article published a few days ago on How to do things.com about Worry. It definitely isn't easy to stop the cycle of worry.

Just as me, I used to be an expert!

Today though I've cleared most of those out of my way; mostly by doing the work.

Wouldn't it be nice if someone else would do our push-ups for us though?

Time change

The time change had me fully confused. Maybe it was the 'sometimers'? Sometimes I remember, sometimes not so much. Here's why...

Yesterday I went to work a full hour early because my husband told me the clocks didn't change until Sunday night.

I believed him.

Even looking at the time which had already changed on the computer didn't give me any indication.

Now not only did I not know what time it was, but also looked at my watch and saw it said Nov. 2nd.

In my mind I thought, "Ah crap...well, I'm not going to spin the dial on my watch around until it gets back to the first. This month I'll always be a day behind!"

Hopefully today I'll be on the same page as the rest of the world.

Then again, where's the fun in that?
