Spirit Animal Messages

I'm always on the look out for messages from spirit.  Some will think that's weird and if you are one of those stop reading now.  LOL...
This week I was talking to my husband about my brother (who transitioned March 13, 2015) telling him a story about how we used to drive down a particular road at high speeds.  After I was done I saw a shooting star!  It was very low in the sky... the lowest I'd ever seen in fact.  It was incredible and felt like Dave was still near.
This past week I saw a Monarch butterfly in the backyard.  I haven't seen a Monarch in years.  They truly are so precious.
Image may contain: plant, flower, nature and outdoor
This one is a wikipedia photo... I didn't have my camera ready for it.  The butterfly signals transformation and change.
This morning when I got up I looked outside to the roof and saw these two...IMG_20170421_075705
By the time I got the camera they had moved over here onto our garage.  Of course I had to look up the spiritual meaning of ducks.  It says, "Be in the now, be in the moment, for this is where all of the power is available to you...be at peace and let it be" more here
Messages truly are everywhere if we take the time to slow down and see them.
One of my students, during meditation, saw a bald eagle.  His message is definitely powerful... " The eagle bestows freedom and courage to look ahead"
May you find similar messages surrounding you this week.

What a week

Between the Pepsi fiscal, United Airlines, Sean Spicer, Syria, CBS's Survivor it's been quite a week.  And I'm probably missing a few things.  I think one thing we're learning in this 'new age' is the power of social media.
The movement's are important for change.  We can have a voice as a collective and it seems "be the change we wish to see".
Now if we could only do as much with our personal relationships.  We can't force change in interpersonal relationships even if we'd like to.
There will be those in our lives who will ignore us, not speak to us, not respond to text messages or other forms of communication.  Now we could spatter these thoughts all over the internet.  Or we can sit the experience, not post them on social and see where our attachments lie.
Are we attached to the people, the experiences, the precious moments of the past?  If we sit with these uncomfortable personal experiences we may begin to grow.  We may learn some individuals are teaching us (even if we don't wish to be taught).
Maybe we are learning lessons of healthy personal boundaries or self love?
I think the best we can do when it comes to those who are challenging us is breath into the moments of peace (or count to 10 - 10x ..LOL).  Stay present and true to self.
As you spend time with your loved ones this weekend, remember sometimes you are being taught.  And sometimes you will teach. We can force change or we can allow... which will you choose?
Wishing you a great long weekend & Happy Easter to those who celebrate.

❤ Happy Days

❤ Happy Valentine's Day all! ❤

I wish you love not only today but everyday!

Here is a journal page I did to send love and remember to trust the universe.  Isn't it funny that we sometimes believe that we know better than it does?  We have to trust we are always being guided even through the tough times. It can be challenging to remember that no change will occur until we are placed under some form of stress to allow for transformation and change.  So allow the tough times to be your opportunity to grow.

This page was fun to create... feel the healing energy coming your way when you look at it!

I'm not sure why Blogger flipped this picture but apparently the Google-Gods want it this way....

Here is the left side of the page - it's my hands layered underneath there.  The red heart is a card which I wrote "I love you" in it when you flip it open... forgot to snap that for you though!

Here is the right side.  I placed Reiki symbols all over using my gel pen.  Love those things!  Told you I'd be sending along healing energy ... feel that?  Lots of love your way.  Enjoy!

Have a very happy time today and always,
❤ Tam

Time sure flies!

12 Years and one day ago I started the journey into Yoga teacher training.  It was such a powerfilled day being it was also 9/11.  (Prayers to all who lost family on this day)

It was such an emotional day which makes it easier to recall.  Think about that for a moment - it's really easy to recall days when trauma occurs.  It's more challenging to recall the better days.  When we have emotional charges we can easily recall life.

So think back now 12 years ago.  Where were you then?  What were you doing when the towers went down?  What were the larger issues of your life at that time?

Now take a step back.

A bird's eye view if you will and look at your life from a larger perspective.

Consider all of the things that have occurred.... the triumphs, the blessings, the passing of souls, the loss, the trauma.  What a roller coaster ride it's been!

Look next at your own growth and give yourself credit for doing the best you could throughout these times; it's where you were in your process of life.

Now set a clear intention for change for the next 12 years...it flies by so fast.  And it's so easy to take it all for granted, n'est pas?

Don't loose a moment!
Love

And the times they are a'changin

As I typed the title of this post I just realized how long it's been since I've played this song on the guitar.  I'll definitely have to fiddle with the Fender later and see how I make out with that.

Yes change, it's that time of year - change in so many ways.

Children are back to school so it's a time for change with students, for parents and for teachers.  As a Yoga teacher its time for me to get back to the mat with my yoga tribe (something I've truly missed over the past month and can't wait to get back to).  It's growing close to a change of season and the energy of the planet is also in it's state of change and flux as we embrace a cooler climate in Ontario.

It's how we show up for the changes that is significant.

How are we embracing change?

Are we able to show up fully?  And if so do we do with tired feelings, anxiousness or happiness?

It is interesting to become an observer and simply watch ourselves in the midst of change.

There is so much we can learn simply by being and watching.

The trick is to do so without giving our inner critic energy; without judgement as we allow the process of change to unfold within our lives and our hearts.

Embrace the changes around you with an open heart and an open mind; knowing that some changes can result in our largest amounts of growth.

Trust you are being guided and remember you have so much potential in there!

Much love,
Tam

A thought for today

Time change

The time change had me fully confused. Maybe it was the 'sometimers'? Sometimes I remember, sometimes not so much. Here's why...

Yesterday I went to work a full hour early because my husband told me the clocks didn't change until Sunday night.

I believed him.

Even looking at the time which had already changed on the computer didn't give me any indication.

Now not only did I not know what time it was, but also looked at my watch and saw it said Nov. 2nd.

In my mind I thought, "Ah crap...well, I'm not going to spin the dial on my watch around until it gets back to the first. This month I'll always be a day behind!"

Hopefully today I'll be on the same page as the rest of the world.

Then again, where's the fun in that?

Attitude change

Recently I received a letter for a questionnaire to fill out from the Ministry of the Attorney General asking me to be a prospective juror.

I'll admit, I wasn't happy about it. Mostly because I am a an entrepeneur and self-employed business owner.

Fear was my inital response.

I didn't want to take time off work; even for a civil duty.

Chances of me actually being chosen are probably slim, but there is still a chance.

Then something interesting happened....I spoke with one of my students who is a Judge here in town.

She said, "What an honour! Congratulations!"

I looked at her dumb-founded.

She continued, "Many people tell me it is a life altering experience. They learn so much about themselves and the system."

"But its such a huge responsibility!"

"Tell me about it," she replied. "Just realize you are a huge part of the person's journey. And just maybe you will have made a difference."

After speaking with her, in less than 5 minutes, my entire attitude changed about being a member of a jury.

Shift your perspective. Change your life!

Why ask Why

I'm often asked by people why things are the way they are in their lives. Why did they attract a certain situation into their lives? Why they are still working at a job they dislike? Why they haven't created the success or achieved a goal by a specific time?

Yesterday I found the answer.

In Bob Proctor's book You were Born Rich he explains the reason behind this is we love these things.

Are you thinking, HUH?

I do NOT!

But the truth is that love is a vibration. If things are not going as planned it is because you are in the same vibrational frequency as the thing you have attracted.

So, if you want to change the thing (whatever it is) change your vibration. Allow yourself to be open to receive the higher vibration.

It's like I explained to students this week. Allow whatever is reverberating in your life to be received into your body. The bij or seed sound of the heart chakra is yam. It is pronounced YUM.

So allow yourself to be open to lots of yummy-ness!

Cheers!

Healing Journeys

I received an email yesterday from one of my distance clients. One of the things he said to me was very curious, "I wish healing was as easy as you make it out to be."

Whoa! Is this the impression I left him with? As you well know sometimes the written word does not translate as well as a face-to-face conversation. Maybe I didn't get through to him clearly.

We can take two points of view on this; one from personal experience and the other from knowing that our thoughts create our reality.

From personal experience, my healing journey has been far from easy. To quote Jerry Seinfeld,

"Life is truly a ride. We're all strapped in, and no one can stop it. As you make each passage from youth to adulthood to maturity, sometimes you put your arms up and scream, sometimes you just hang on to that bar in front of you. But the ride is the thing. I think the most you can hope for at the end of life is that your hair's messed, you're out of breath, and you didn't throw up."

As it was explained to me when I was dealing with depression and some serious layers of healing, "If you want to find peace, happiness and harmony, you have to do the work." The transformation has been painful as I'd imagine the shift from a catepillar to a butterfly might me. Although, I'm not sure anyone has ever asked the butterfly?

The second view point we could use is Abraham thinking. If we focus on how hard and challenging healing is, then it will most certainly continue to be. I really must apologize to this individual for leaving the impression that healing is as simple as waving a magic wand. But then again, if we allow our thinking to change, maybe it is?
