One of my pet peeves is when people can't stop talking about their jobs during non-working hours. I'm currently planning for an upcoming event. So last night I was planning again.
My husband finally said, "I'm not listening! We aren't working right now. Turn it off for a few hours."
Gawd.... now I'm one of those people. Eeeek
PS. A client this week saw Bella and screeched in delight, "OMG a Russian Blue! She's gorgeous!"
I explained to her that Bella is a garden variety cat who we got from the local Humane society. After she left I did some research on Russian Blue's.
Here's what I found out about the breed - they have:
Mauve pads...check
Green eyes....check
Solid blue with tips of the hairs being silver with a shimmering effect....check
There are no white markings whatsoever, except for the occasional white on the throat (considered a fault) ....double check. She has white on her throat and a locket on her belly.
Thick double coat; top coat longer guard hairs & second coat which is very soft and gives the Russian Blue .....check
This info comes from this site: http://www.russianblue.info/is_it_a_rb.htm
It's hard to say, but she does have all of the characterisitcs of the breed. It is possible. And its also possible that her white markings are why the owners got rid of her. Irregardless she most likely has Russian Blue in her pedigree somewhere.
Doesn't matter really....she's perfect to me.
PPS. But now I call her Bella Blue! LOL
