Breakfast

We bought the juicer over a year ago, used it once and put it back under the cupboard.  My hubby thought all of the pulp that is left over was too much of a waste.

Recently we watched Joe Cross's documentary (Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead).  It was enough to sell my husband on juicing so back out it came! If you haven't watched it or know what I'm talking about go here to Joe's site http://www.rebootwithjoe.com/

It's actually his Green Mean recipe that I've been having for breakfast...

6 pieces of Kale
2 apples
1 ginger slice
3 ribs celery
1/2 cucumber

All of this:

Goes into this:

To make this....

It is really good!  Honest - I wasn't sure the first time I saw it either, but now I'm addicted to it.  I know right?  First I'm addicted to art journalling, Jillian Michael's workout's now this!  What healthy addiction will be next?  LOL
Cheers

PS.  Hubby no longer believes the pulp to be wasteful as he knows how many micronutrients we are getting into our bodies!  Plus we put the pulp through the juicer 2 or 3 extra times (until it is dry) you wouldn't believe how much extra juice you get out of it.

PPS.  I noticed there is a large juicing machine at the local market with a 'coming soon' sign on it... guess lots will be juicing here in the 'bridge soon!

I confess I struggle to enjoy green liquids, even when I know they're full of goodness!
Thanks for dropping by earlier and have a fab Friday :)

I was afraid of it too! LOL

We do like green juice around here! I usually put the pulp through a strainer and get a lot more juice out that way.
